Degenhardt Equipment was established in 2026 by Joe and Kelly Degenhardt, but its roots in the equipment industry run deep — nearly 80 years.
The Degenhardt legacy began in 1947 when Joe’s grandfather, Leonard Degenhardt, purchased the International Harvester dealership in Norwalk, Wisconsin. He operated the business out of a small building in the village of Norwalk, while he and his wife, Margaret, raised their 11 children upstairs. It was truly a family business from day one.
In 1972, Joe’s father, Bill Degenhardt, along with his brothers Glen, Gene, and Arnie, incorporated the business and continued building on the strong foundation their parents created. That same year, they expanded their offerings by adding the Bobcat line alongside their International Harvester equipment line — a move that helped grow the dealership’s presence and reputation in the region.
In 2012, Degenhardt Implement was sold to St. Joseph Equipment, where Joe remained as an employee. Kelly joined the St. Joseph Equipment team that same year.
In 2024, when St. Joseph Equipment made the decision to retire, Joe and Kelly were presented with the opportunity to bring the business back into the Degenhardt family.
Today, Degenhardt Equipment proudly operates as a full-line Bobcat dealer, complemented by several additional short lines. Built on generations of hard work, integrity, and commitment to customers, Degenhardt Equipment continues to serve the community with the same family values that started it all in 1947.
